Happiness is a state of mind, 100%! I’m not here to talk about happiness thought. I mean, yeah, sure, it might play a role in what I’m gonna talk about but still, that’s not the point of this article. I need you to understand that most people’s biggest problem isn’t that they’re not happy. It’s not even that they’re not fulfilled. Their biggest problem is they don’t live in a state of belief.
Here’s the thing you should know. No matter how good you are at something, no matter how hard you work, you have to understand that if you don’t believe you can achieve your desired outcome, YOU NEVER WILL.
Why People Don’t Live In A State Of Belief
The reason people don’t live in a state of belief is that they’re living a robotic fucking life. It’s a fucking drag to talk to these people too. Hell, you might be one of them. No judgment, it’s not your fault. You’ve literally been forced into this situation.
You’re probably thinking “Fuck this Ian guy, I’m not a robot!” but honey, you just might be. Let me ask you a few questions.
Did you try hard in school? Did you go to college? Did you graduate and apply for jobs and go to interviews doing the whole dog and pony show to get an entry-level position? Do you follow your bosses instructions daily to go home with only a handful of hours to do things that make you happy? Do you end up filling those hours with a streaming service instead?
Or maybe you got married and had a family somewhere in that process? Guess what, now the government and your social group are telling you what to do when you’re not at work. Why? Because they force you to put your kids into school at a certain age, take them to the doctor for different reasons, have your kids join sports or ballet or dance because that’s what a good parent is supposed to do.
Who the fuck planned out your life? Who said, “these are your options, choose.”
Are you living paycheck to paycheck? Are you barely saving any money? Do you think following the track your on will get you to where you really want to be? Hell, do you even know where that is?!
Most people are just trying to make it to their deathbed without going through massive suffering. They just need to make it through today, through this week, through this month, just make rent, just make this payment, just make it through the next tax season without getting screwed over… just die when your young but let the body catch up when it can.
I have to tell you that I believe that’s bullshit. You deserve so much better than that.
You know it’s true otherwise you would’ve stopped reading. You know you deserve better than whatever you’re currently experiencing. Something is missing but you don’t know what!
What is there to believe in now days? Have you seen the news? Have you seen our politics? Have you seen people on social media? Bleh. Nasty.
What Should We Believe In?
Believe in a better life, that’s what. You have to sit down and figure out what you want in your life, and believe you can achieve it despite however your life may look at this moment.
You know Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tells a story about how he had $7 in his pocket back in 1995 and no prospects of any sort. He moved back home with his parents knowing one thing, “The world was going to hear from me.” He didn’t know how, or when, but he knew it would happen.
Look at where he is today. Winning Icon awards, highest-paid actor in Hollywood, owner and investor in all sorts of businesses including his production company. THAT is belief.
The man believed he would create an impact on the world and the motherfucker pulled it off!
What do you believe? About yourself? About the life you want to live?
To Believe or Not To Believe
When it comes down to it, if you don’t believe you can achieve your goals in life, it’s because you believe you won’t. It’s a subconscious belief sure, but it has its roots somewhere in your past.
I’m sure you can already think of the person who gave you the advice to play it safe, to think logically, the person who’s voice pops into your head before you make a decision and I bet it’s not your own voice.
The people that love us also fear for us. They fear we’ll experience pain. But that fear actually causes us suffering because we end up constrained by their fear and the advice they’ve given us.
Those who love us should encourage us to be bold in spite of fear and pain. They should teach us it’s inevitable and trying to avoid it in one way only means we’ll experience it in another. They should teach us that if that’s true, we should always face the fear that has our greatest desires on the other side because if we’re going to suffer anyway, it might as well be worth something we want.
There are areas of your life that you know you’re not happy with. See how many of them came from decisions that you made following your heart or intuition. See how many of them challenged you to face a fear of the unknown. You’ll find that the areas you’re not happy with are the ones where you played, or are playing, safe.
It’s time for you to believe.
Believe that the world can be a better place because you’ve walked among us. Believe that actions you take today can lead to greater happiness. Believe that your tomorrows can be better by making different decisions today.
Begin to live intuitively and not logically. The journey is much more fun and forces you to face your fears. It forces you to believe in yourself and the ability to attain your desires.
This’ll be the end of my rant because I want you to go out and take action on this subject immediately. The sooner you do this, the sooner you’ll see the benefits manifesting in your life.
Whether that’s improved relationships, a more stable business, greater cash flow, or a healthier body. Whatever your desires are, they’re completely attainable! Think about it. The Rock had $7 to his name and in 20 years is one of, if not the most, recognizable people in the world. Begin to believe!
It’s easy. Start living like the one percent in terms of belief and action. You’ll find your life transforms faster than you could ever imagine.
